Don't get me wrong it isn't my favorite COD, but in my opinion it didn't deserve all the hate it got. Some of their base maps weren't the strongest but a lot of their DLC was pretty nice. I didn't use Reddit at the time that game was out so I don't really know all the complaints on it.
Only ones I know is you died really fast and the health regen was slow.I felt like the game was really smooth and an all around well made COD. I loved the whole map interaction aspect as well as field orders. Also the special scorestreaks on maps were a really cool feature in my opinion. I enjoyed playing as Michael Myers on Fog and even got jumpscared a few times. Also the extinction aliens on the Dome remake was pretty cool. I know some could argue that they don't like those as a scorestreak, but I just think of them as dogs.Another thing I really enjoyed about Ghosts was the map setting.

They had night and day maps which I really enjoyed as well as unique maps. They had map settings which we've never seen before, such as a pirate ship and Egypt. One of my favorite things in Ghosts was opening the 'secret' door on Egypt and getting the scorestreak. I loved how if you didn't get it in time the door closed and then fire came out and killed you. Things like that add more variety and fun to a game. I hope we can see more interactive maps in future CODs.Another thing I really enjoyed was the nostalgia.
They remastered maps from MW2 and MW3; Favela, Scrapyard, and Dome. They also added an AC-130 scorestreak on the map Favela as well as a Harrier scorestreak on the map Dynasty. It was a nice nod to the older COD's.I'm just stating reasons why I thought Ghosts was a good COD. I really hope Infinity Ward make a Ghosts 2.
I feel like they had the fundamentals, but there was no communication. Tell me why you guys did or didn't enjoy COD Ghosts or didn't like about it. The only bad maps on there were siege and Stonehaven tbh. And least they made 4 dlc maps unlike SHG who make 3 and one war map. It was my first cod and before ww2 came out it probably had the weirdest perk system out of any cod I played. But it was fun the maps were so interactive like on that one map you could shoot the thing and all the yellow gas came out, on strikezone anyone could get a kem strike and after it went off it turned into a whole new map which was incredible.
The creativity was there. Far more creative than ww2.

Well, there were about four guns: the Honey Badger, Remington R5, MTAR-X, and Vector CRB. Everything else was almost not worth using, especially after the MSBS got nerfed. I like the amount of variance in the guns but most of them just weren’t very good. And I think the few maps I enjoyed were the MW2/3 remakes and Prison Break and Whiteout.I don’t hate Ghosts, and for the longest time I defended it (and I still rank it above AW, IW, and WWII) but the game just isn’t what it could’ve been. If the DLC maps had been released as the main maps, the game would have been much better received. The base maps of the game were awful. The only fun map was a remake. Seige and Stonehaven (the castle one, I don't remember) were Battlefield-sized maps for 6v6 combat.Time to kill was way too fast, which slowed players down. Slowing down rushing, combined with large maps led to a boring experience.Netcode was a huge sticking point heading into Ghosts.

Devs got around that by just making every gun kill instantly. Players were mislead into thinking 'wow, netcode for this game is better than it's been in years!' Hit detection/netcode was proven to be poor yet again, yet the TTK masked it. Worst plotline I've ever experienced in COD, it isnt terrible but sure ain't good, had a really boring campaign and like in MW3 had the 'done this, done that' feeling all over the place, and I disliked how they used MW2 Ghost to captive people into thinking it was about him/like him and turn out it was not.Its also the worst COD I've ever controlled, not sure why but it all felt super stiff and hard to move, maybe because it also the worst COD optimization to PC I've played, it performed really bad. The MP maps event were really dumb too, so was the dog thingy. It was the only game where I probably done more hours in SP than MP.
