Dying Light At Target
Thrown weapons are pretty lenient because you can hold the throw button and lock onto your target (up to 3, with the skill), and even then the timing is important, because the throw will lead the targets, and if they change direction, you'll miss. But in many cases it pays to aim manually, one at a time, and aim for the head for extra damage.
Simple PakkerThe.pak files that this game uses are actually.zip files in disguise. You can open them with WinRAR, 7-zip, or even with built-in Windows tools. But if you don't feel like doing the packing yourself, here is a simple Windows script/batch job, which puts every file in the target folder in a.pak file (Data3.pak). You can then place this file in your DW folder (.SteamSteamappsDying LightDW) and enjoy your mods. I suggest you read all the mumbo jumbo written below.Simple Pakker Usage-Extract the 'SimplePakker' folder to somewhere-Put the data folder of your mods to the mods folder under SimplePakker (.SimplePakkermods)-Be sure that there is no data folder inside the data folder. Double checking never hurts-Run the 'simplepakker.bat'.
You'll now see a 'Data3.pak' (sometimes you may see it as.zip; just refresh in this case)-Place the 'Data3.pak' to your DW folder (.SteamSteamappsDying LightDW), and enjoy the game.Suggested WayOn the long run, it'd be better to use a tool like WinRAR. When you double click the.pak file, Windows will not recognize it, but you can choose 'select a program.' And then select WinRAR to open the.pak files with double clicking, without any issue. From now on, you can double-click any.pak file that you see, and open it through WinRAR, and make modifications to your liking.
Just keep it localized to 'Data3.pak', and don't bother with other '.pak' files though.Renamer (easier)Get 'Renamer' (optional file) instead, and use it instead of Simple Pakker. It only changes the file extension from.pak to.zip, and allows you to browse the contents with the built-in Windows tools just like any folder.Renamer Usage-Place the 'Data3.pak' you want to edit in the same folder with 'renamer.bat'-Drag & Drop the 'Data3.pak' to your 'renamer.bat'; the 'Data3.pak' will be renamed to 'Data3.zip'-Built-in Windows tools will allow you to browse through the contents of.zip files like a folder, so modify this 'folder'; combine mods/etc.-When you are done, drag & drop the 'data3 folder' back on the 'renamer.bat'-Put the modified 'Data3.pak' to your './DW' folder.

During the day, players traverse an expansive urban environment overrun by a vicious outbreak, scavenging the world for supplies and crafting weapons to defend against the growing infected population. This game has many amazing aspects. You can weave in and out of zombies or stick to the rooftops to avoid them. Parkour is pretty sweet with this.
I really wanted to like this game, I really did. However, combat is absolutely horrific. The guy is supposed to be highly skilled and trained, but for a VERY long time it's as though your frail grandma is out there swinging a baseball bat at these zombies. In fact, my character has died countless times because he gets fatigued by hitting a single zombie in the head with a pipe (it takes 5-10 good hits, and many more if you aren't getting them in the head).Careful about progressing in the story too (doing what the game tells you to do).
If you aren't taking the HUGE amount of time training your character and ignoring the game's commands, you can easily find yourself in a world far too dangerous for you. 'Volatiles' that are angry zombies that run AND do parkour chasing you, to the acid spitting ones with extreme precision and the goliath ones that have an insane anount of health and can kill you in 2 hits. The world itself gets increasingly harder, not just your missions. Worst of all is that if you die during a large battle, all of the zombies (mini bosses and bosses too) are ALL revived, you lose points AND any weapons or items you used during that fight. So even if you killed the bosses and a stupid regular zombie catches you by surprise, well now you have to start the fight all over again but with a major disadvantage.Ranged weapons are a lifesaver, but why bother if pure gaming skill is pretty much useless? Also, in some cases you have to sacrifice health kits for a good ranged weapon, so make your decision. It's a game of sneak up on zombies and hit them a few times then hide on a rooftop till your stamina replenishes.
