Been trying to figure out the best way to turn the USA facist. Tried two options, the first time I went along with the options that stayed away from civil war and once I got the option to pass the referendum and change government peacefully I took it.However - what I didn't know is that to get rid of the negative effect of 'The Great Depression' there has to be an election in 1940. Which, playing as a fascist, make impossible since there are no elections.This second time I picked up the facist guy as the first thing I did so that the facists would have a majority for the 1940 election. Once again dodging the civil war options until. In June 1940 there was a civil war either way. There was no other option.So, anyone got any ideas?

I honestly don't even know if you can get rid of The Great Depression unless you pick FDR for the 1940 election. I got rid of it by picking the facist side in the civil war but the issue is. I got pulled into a civil war.

I basically played staying out of war and so I couldn't get Warbonds (because it requires war). So I was like damn I'm gonna be stuck with this friggin Depression.Anyway I was shocked when it gave me the option to elect FDR like a second time and his new deal stated it removes The Great Depression.

In 1940 (I think) if your still not at war as the USA you get the option to elect FDR again and he will remove it regardless.edit.Don't remember exactly when it was but in my game FDR removed my Great Depression. I had to take a -15% penalty to national unity though as the price.
