I did as complete an uninstall as I knew how.physically removing any remaining files/folders in NTW (after deleting local content in Steam) and wiped the Creative Assembly folder of all content under the roaming folder. I have literally put in about 9 hours on this today trying to resolve it.and in the ultimate end, it will be something simple.Still appreciate your response. Thank You.P.S. Another thought.could there be something residual in Steam that reinstalls no matter what is deleted?? The media.pack file is an original ntw file that contains the movies that run in the game. I'd suggest you go to your STEAM game library and right click the Napoleon: Total War game. Select 'Properties' at the bottom of the list and then 'Local Files' from the pop-up menu.

At the bottom of the pop-up select 'Verify Integrity of Game Files', it will take several minutes to run and will download and reinstall any missing original ntw files. Try starting a vanilla ntw campaign and see if that works properly. Also check the Ntw3 folder as shown below to make sure all of the text files are there.If you recently had Darthmod installed you may have to do a clean install of the original ntw vanilla files as Darthmod overwrites some of theses files.

I did have DMN, but did a complete downloading after removing it. The 4 packs you showed were in the NTW3 folder.I just did another complete cleaning and reinstall and ran 2 turns on vanilla and it worked well. Then installed v7.1 again and afterwards ran the validity check which needed 2 files. Empty 20.Osterreich.The language seems fubarred: Moving the far gentleman to the college he spoke English until he started moving he spoke Spanish. During the battle I ran everyone had an English accent.In the government tab the Ministers had no information.All this on a complete reinstall of everything.

I downloaded off MODDB and before had tried Mediafire.both with what seems the same result and each time with a complete reinstall.If this red herring gets resolved, you'll have a reference for anyone else who may come along with the same dilemma.Have a good evening.zimm out.
