There's a ton to see unlock Gears of War 3, despite it not being a very open world and really being very linear. The few branching pathways are nothing to write home about, but what we're really talking about is the vast array of unlockable skins and characters for the online multiplayer. Show off your prowess by reaching level 100 and unlocking a dozen playable characters along the way.

But they have finished the remade Blooddrive map, They have finished jacinto and 2 unannounced maps yet none of them are in the full game.They have cut Onxy Guard and Bernie Mataki yet both of them were in the leaked version. They have removed 22 weapons skins, Most of which ive seen in multiplayer footage when the game was announced.Im sorry but WTF am i paying £100+Gold memebership for?The game is the most preordered game in history and yet they feel the need to cut tons of stuff out to make extra money. Way to look after your loyal fans. 2821d agolol at people complaining 'its on the disk so it should be free'.they only put them on the disc BECAUSE they wanted to sell them. If they werent going to sell them, they wouldnt have bothered making them.
If you dont like it, dont buy them. Big deal.im not gonna buy them, but im certainly not going to complain about having the option to buy them.oh and no, they dont need to be on the disc for everyone to see them.
Many games have downloadable costumes etc that arent on the disc yet everyone can see them - there are these little things called 'patches', you might have heard of them? How do you think mortal kombat/street fighter/etc handle their downloadable costumes/characters? The data is in the patch that is released separately from the DLC. 2820d agoI agree IHateYou,They are fuc$ing weapon skins, who the fu$% cares. They have absolutely 0% effect on gameplay.
No other Gears had them, why do you need them now? What is crying on the internet going to get you? Is there a free weapon skin for acting like a little bi^%h on N4G? How about if you only own a PS3 and are on here complaining? Man I just don't understand why you make yourselves look like such whiney entitled bit$hes, and that is what you look like crying about such a pointless feature.

2820d agoNot getting into the debate of if they should or shouldn't charge.In terms of the 'its on the disc' issue. For skins to work properly in multiplayer games, everyone needs to have those skins in their system in order to 'see them'. So for ease of use and to avoid everyone having to download a different skin everytime someone buys a new one.all the 'pay for' skins are on each copy of Gears. By doing it this way you will be able to see anyone's 'skin' unlike say in a game like Forza 3 where if you bought a certain car model dlc and others didnt' have it that 'special car' would show up as a generic model car to the others unless they had that dlc too.
2820d agoCharging for skins? I believe Capcom actually kinda kicked off this concept already. Either way, I am not too bothered.
As long as I don't need to buy these to play in multiplayer honestly who cares? A gun is a gun. Shoots the same whether its rainbow colored or gun metal black. If you wanna make yourself look 'cool' and buy this stuff.so be it. Its your money.Now.should a developer start charging for actual guns in the game.then we have a different conversation.
